Benue 2027 guber: Aondoakaa appoints Waroh, Akoche to campaign organisation

The governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Benue State, Chief Michael Aondoakaa, SAN, has appointed Abraham Waroh as Deputy Director-General and Hon. Ameh Akoche as Secretary of the Aondoakaa/Ogbenjuwa Campaign Organisation ahead of the 2027 governorship election.

The appointments, which take immediate effect, was announced in a statement signed by James Ian, Media Assistant to the PDP governorship candidate.
According to the statement, the appointments are part of efforts to strengthen the campaign structure and enhance preparations for the forthcoming governorship election.
Waroh, a seasoned politician and youth mobiliser, currently serves as the PDP Vice Chairman for Zone A. He is expected to bring his experience in grassroots mobilisation, party administration and political engagement to bear on the coordination and strategic direction of the campaign.
Similarly, Akoche, an experienced politician from Apa Local Government Area of the state, is expected to contribute to the administrative coordination and organisational effectiveness of the campaign.
Aondoakaa expressed confidence in the ability of the appointees to discharge their responsibilities effectively, noting that their experience, commitment to the party and understanding of the state's political landscape would be valuable assets to the campaign.
He expressed optimism that the duo would work harmoniously with other members of the campaign leadership to strengthen party unity, deepen grassroots mobilisation and advance the collective aspiration for a safer, more prosperous and inclusive Benue State.
The PDP candidate also reaffirmed his commitment to working closely with the party's leader in the state and former governor, Chief Samuel Ortom; Senate Minority Leader, Senator Patrick Abba Moro; members of the State Executive Committee; and other critical stakeholders to ensure a united and effective campaign ahead of the 2027 general election.
He further disclosed that additional appointments into the campaign organisation and the full campaign council would be announced before the end of October, following consultations with relevant stakeholders.
