Alleged suicide attempt: Actress Doris Ogala hospitalised amid Pastor Okafor controversy

Nollywood actress Doris Ogala is reportedly hospitalised following an incident in which she allegedly attempted to harm herself, just days after her public outburst against popular cleric, Pastor Chris Okafor.

The development comes amid a heated controversy sparked by Ogala’s recent social media posts, in which she accused the pastor of betraying her and planning to marry another woman after what she described as an intimate relationship between them.

The actress claimed she made deep personal sacrifices during the period, including undergoing an abortion, and said she suffered significant emotional and personal trauma as a result.

Ogala had also publicly vowed that the planned marriage would not take place, comments that generated intense reactions and widespread debate across social media platforms.

On Sunday, a disturbing video surfaced online showing a man believed to be close to the actress displaying bloodstains on bedsheets before turning the camera on Ogala, who appeared visibly weak with her arms bandaged. In the video, the man could be heard asking the actress whether she was trying to take her own life.

According to the footage, Ogala reportedly sustained injuries to her arm. The man was later seen assisting her as she was taken to a hospital for urgent medical attention. He also appealed to Pastor Chris Okafor to intervene and help address the situation while the actress received treatment.

Meanwhile, Pastor Okafor's video surfaced on social media where he rebuked some ladies he described as disrespectful and accused them of viewing marriage as an entitlement, a statement many social media users have linked to the ongoing controversy. Though the time that video was recorded is still an issue of debate.
