U-17 Women’s World Cup: Quarter-final pairings confirmed as Africa bows out

Quarter-final fixtures for the ongoing FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup in Morocco have been confirmed, following the conclusion of Round of 16 matches played on Wednesday.
Canada booked their place in the last eight with a dominant 6-0 victory over Zambia, while Japan eased past Colombia with a 4-0 win. Mexico edged Paraguay 1-0 to advance, and France defeated Spain 5-4 on penalties after a goalless draw.
The quarter-final matches are scheduled to take place on Saturday and Sunday.
No African team made it beyond the Round of 16, as Nigeria, host nation Morocco, and Zambia all crashed out of the tournament.
