Edo APC vows 2.5 million votes for Tinubu as key PDP figures join party

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Edo State is poised to deliver 2.5 million votes for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu following the defection of a former PDP council chairman and supporters from Edo North Senatorial District.
The reception ceremony took place at the Warrake residence of APC leader in Owan East, Hon. Abdul Ganiyu Lawani, popularly known as Abu Millionaire.
Attending the event were prominent Edo North leaders, including the Speaker of the Edo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Chief Blessing Sheriff Agbebaku (Aigbodekhe-Ini of Sobe Kingdom and Okawalele of Ozalla), the Member representing Akoko Edo Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Peter Akpatason, and the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Hon. Musa Yakubu.
The defection reinforces Governor Monday Okpebholo’s commitment to mobilize 2.5 million votes for President Tinubu’s re-election.
Welcoming the new members, Speaker Agbebaku and other party leaders described the APC as a people-focused, development-driven, and all-inclusive party.
On behalf of the group, former Etsako East Chairman, Hon. Princess Benedicta Atoh, expressed gratitude for the warm reception and pledged loyalty to the APC and Governor Okpebholo.
