Benue SUBEB Chairman donates mower to Mbakpiam school, pledges wider intervention

The Executive Chairman of Benue State Universal Basic Education Board, SUBEB, Dr Grace Adagba has donated a hand mower to LGEA Primary School, Mbakpiam, in Konshisha Local Government Area of the state, to support improved sanitation and maintenance of the school environment.
Dr Adagba made the donation on Friday, during a visit to the school where she commended the community for its commitment to sanitation, protection of school facilities and ownership of the institution.

According to a statement by the Special Assistant on Corporate Communications and Community Engagements to the SUBEB Chairman, Msughter Ataigbough, Adagba interacted with community leaders and inspected the school environment during the visit.
She noted the efforts of the community in maintaining a clean and conducive learning environment, stressing the importance of community participation in sustaining government investments in basic education.
In appreciation of the community's commitment, the SUBEB Chairman presented a hand mower to the school to facilitate regular cutting of grass and improve sanitation within the premises.
Adagba also disclosed that LGEA Primary School, Mbakpiam, had been earmarked for further whole-school intervention as part of the state government's efforts to improve learning environments in basic schools.

She said the intervention was in line with the vision of the Benue State Governor, Rev. Fr. Dr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia, to provide more conducive and improved learning environments for pupils across the state.
Responding, the Ortar of Mbakpiam, Zaki Augustine Wuaga, expressed appreciation to Adagba for the visit and donation, describing the engagement as “one of a kind.”
Wuaga also commended the Benue State Government under Governor Alia for its interventions in the education sector, saying the efforts had contributed to increased enrolment in schools within the community.
He pledged that the community would safeguard the facilities provided by the government and ensure that they were properly maintained for the benefit of pupils and teachers.
The SUBEB Chairman's visit also featured the supervision of ongoing construction and furnishing of schools in Zone A and Zone B, as part of efforts to deliver improved learning environments across the zones.
