“Mama, come back”: Regina Daniels shares emotional call with children amid marital crisis

Nollywood actress Regina Daniels has shared an emotional video call with her children as she continues to live apart from them following reported marital troubles with her husband, Senator Ned Nwoko.
In a post shared on Instagram late Monday night, the actress showcased her two sons, Prince Munir Nwoko (Moon) and Prince Khalifa Nwoko (Kharly), as she presented them with gifts including toys, clothes and shoes.
During the call, one of the children tearfully pleaded, “Mama, come back,” to which Regina responded reassuringly, “I will come soon, OK.” The children also urged her to take care of herself and them, ending the call with expressions of love.
Reflecting on the emotional toll of the separation, Regina wrote in the caption that appearances can be deceptive. “People may believe that I am happy, but no mother can be at peace while separated from her children,” she said, adding that she chose not to let the pain consume her, which informed her decision to walk away.
The actress also criticised her estranged husband over his recent social media posts featuring the children. Senator Nwoko had shared a family video on Sunday, captioned, “Sundays are for slowing down, reconnecting, and doing what truly matters. My family and I spent today doing the simple things that bring the most joy.” Reacting, Regina questioned the intent behind the post, suggesting it appeared more driven by public engagement than parental responsibility.
Regina disclosed that she had remained silent for weeks to avoid media attention but felt compelled to speak after revealing that her last conversation with her children was in mid-November. Reaffirming her resolve as a mother, she expressed disbelief at what she described as attempts to alienate her.
“I may be young, but I am such a mum. I enjoy being a mum, and I miss being a mum,” she wrote. “It’s so crazy if their father thinks I won’t come for my children. I will definitely see my kids soon.”
The post has since sparked widespread reactions across social media, with many fans expressing sympathy and support for the actress.
